| WHAT IS A CARICOM SPECIAL VISA |
Answer: A CARICOM Special Visa is an authority issued by certain CARICOM Foreign Missions /Consulates or Immigration Offices that permits a traveller to arrive and apply for entry at the border of the CARICOM Single Domestic Space between 1st February and 15th May 2007. After being granted first entry, the visa holder is allowed free movement within the single domestic space during the period 1st February to 15th May, 2007.

2. What is the CARICOM Single Domestic Space?
Answer: The CARICOM Single Domestic Space consists of the following cricket host countries and Dominica

3. Who requires a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Nationals from all countries except nationals from the countries listed at Appendix 1 require a CARICOM Special Visa to enter the region during the period 1st February to 15th May 2007. If in doubt, contact the nearest issuing sites listed at Appendix 3.
4. I am a Team Member, accredited official, media representative or sponsor for the tournament (TOMS), do I need a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Yes, if you are a national of one of the countries requiring visas (Appendix 1).
5. I am not coming to see the games but for another purpose, do I need a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Yes. If you are travelling to or in the region during the period 1st February and May 15th and are a national of one of the countries which requires a visa (Appendix 1), you will require a CARICOM Special Visa.

6. Which CARICOM Foreign Missions or Consulates offer the CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Travellers can only apply to or at selected CARICOM Foreign Missions and/or Consulates indicated in Appendix 3.
7. Are forms and instructions for the CARICOM Special Visa available online?
Answer: Yes, at the websites indicated in Appendix 2. Forms are available for completion and download only. Instruction sheet and FAQ’s are also available on the websites.
8. Can I complete the application form online?
Answer: Yes, travellers can complete the form online but it must be downloaded, printed and signed and sent along with your other documents to an issuing site. (Appendix 3) You cannot apply for a visa online.
9. Is there a fee involved?
Answer: Yes. $100 United States Dollars (USD) net, non refundable.
10.What method of payment is acceptable for the CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Payment may be made by credit card or a Banker’s Cheque made payable to IMPACS. Please see instruction sheet.
11. When will the CARICOM Special Visa be available?
Answer: The CARICOM Special Visa will be available from December 15th, 2006 and will be valid for the period 1st February to 15th May, 2007
12. When will the Consulates General and High Commissions accept applications?
Answer: Application forms for the CARICOM Special Visa will be available online from 27th November, 2006 and will be accepted by the Issuing sites (Appendix 3) from 15th December, 2006.
| HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISA? |
13. How do I obtain a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Forms for the CARICOM Special Visa will be available online at the websites indicated in Appendix 2. These forms must be completed and forwarded by courier with return prepaid or presented in person to a respective issuing site with a valid passport and receipt for the application fee paid. (See Instruction Sheet and Appendix 3 for Issuing Sites)
14. What is the processing time for the CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: The maximum time for processing of the CARICOM Special Visa is three (3) to four (4) days on receipt of a complete application. Every effort will be made to expedite the processing of applications within the shortest possible time, within this timeframe, once a complete application is received. Please note that the processing time do not include "courier or shipping time". It is nevertheless advisable that travellers, whenever possible, apply at least four weeks in advance of their departure date.
15). Do I have to apply for the CARICOM Special Visa in person?
Answer: The CARICOM Special Visa application form can be collected in person or completed and downloaded from the internet sites indicated in Appendix 2. It must then be printed, signed and forwarded to the relevant issuing site for processing. It is required that all documents be sent via courier with return pre-paid or they may be delivered and collected in person. Contact the nearest issuing site for more advice or information. (Appendix 3)
16. Can my friend or family member apply for my visa for me?
Answer: No. Travellers must apply on their own behalf or for their children (i.e. persons under 18 years of age). A separate visa application must be completed for each individual including dependants travelling with you.
17. Do I need to send my actual passport?
Answer: Yes, the CARICOM Special Visa is placed on a page inside your passport.
18). Would my children also require CARICOM Special Visas?
Answer: Yes. Children eighteen (18) years and under are also required to have their own passports or valid travel documents to which the visa will be affixed.
19. If I don’t have access to the internet can the application forms be mailed to me?
Answer: Yes. Please contact your nearest issuing site. (Appendix 3)
20. Can I fax a copy of my passport or Valid travel document and/or completed applications for issuance of a visa?
Answer: No. All applications must be accompanied by original documents.
21). Does it matter which issuing site I apply to for my CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: No, but it is advisable that you apply to the issuing site nearest you for speedier processing.

22. How long can I stay in the CARICOM Single Domestic Space?
Answer: The ease of travel as facilitated by the CARICOM Special Visa is for the period 1st February 2007 – 15th May 2007. On your entry at the first border of the Single Domestic Space, the Immigration Officer will determine the length of time you will be permitted to stay within the Single Domestic Space. All travellers wishing to remain beyond that period must seek the permission from the relevant country’s Immigration authorities.
23. What documentation will I need to get a CARICOM Special Visa?

24. I have a passport which is valid for less than six (6) months; can I travel to the region on it?
Answer: The passport or other valid travel document must be valid at for least six (6) months beyond the date of application for the CARICOM Special Visa.
25. Does the CARICOM Special Visa guarantee my right to enter a country?
Answer: No. The CARICOM Special Visa does not guarantee the right to enter the country. It allows the traveller the right to apply for entry at the border of the CARICOM single domestic space.
26. What happens if I visit the CARICOM single domestic space on a CARICOM Special Visa and stay longer than the stipulated period?
Answer: It would be a breach to stay longer than the stipulated period without the approval of the local immigration authorities.
27. I have been issued a temporary passport and wish to know if I can get a CARICOM Special Visa with this passport?
Answer: All travellers must have a valid passport or other valid travel document in order to obtain a CARICOM Special Visa. A temporary passport is a valid passport but must meet the criteria set out in No.24 above.
28. Can I use the CARICOM Special Visa to enter the
region more than once?
Answer: Yes, the visa is valid for multiple entries during the period 1st February to15th May 2007.
29. What documents do I need to enter the first port of entry of the CARICOM Single
Domestic Space?
Answer: Valid Passport or valid travel document, return ticket, CARICOM Special Visa, if required, a completed Customs E/D card, evidence of financial support, evidence of legal residence in country of residence if not a National of the country of residence and a health card if required. (Please see Instruction Sheet)
30. What do I do if my passport containing a valid CARICOM Special Visa is
lost or stolen?
Answer: If your passport containing your visa is lost or stolen then you must report the matter to the nearest police station within 24 hours and ask for a copy of the statement or report. You must then apply for a new or temporary passport from your home country Consulate, High Commission, Embassy or immigration representative. Once this is received you must then re-submit your passport and a new application to the nearest issuing site or, if you are in the Region already, go to the Immigration Department of one of the ten countries that form the single domestic space ( 2 above) to be re-issued a visa.
31. I am the holder of a diplomatic passport. Do I need a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Yes, if you are a National of one of the countries requiring visas, (Appendix 1).
32. I am on a cruise and will only stay a few hours on the islands I visit. Do I need a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Cruise ship passengers on ships in port for less than 24 hours are not required to have the CARICOM Special Visa, despite their nationality. Passengers will be issued a Day Pass by the Immigration Officer at the port of call if they intend to leave the port during the 24 hour period. 33. I am a United States green card holder. Do I need a CARICOM Special Visa?
Answer: Green card holders are not citizens of the United States . The CARICOM Special Visa requirement is determined by citizenship.
34. Where do I get my ED card?
Answer: The ED card will be given to you at the relevant seaport or airport from which you are leaving upon departure.
35. Where do I get the CARICOM Special Visa wrist band?
Answer: The CARICOM Special Visa wrist band will be given to you at the airport upon departure if traveling within the Single Domestic Space.
