CARICOM IMPACS mourns the passing of H.E. Elma Gene Isaac
01 August 2025
It is with profound sadness that the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) learned of the passing of H.E. Elma Gene Isaac, a truly dedicated and impactful Caribbean diplomat.
Elma Gene is remembered by many for her contributions to the Community but for some of us, we remember her as a dear colleague and friend who took time to impart her knowledge and to elicit laughter even during the most difficult and busiest of times.
Her contributions to regional security and integration were immeasurable. Her tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the principles that underpin CARICOM's mission left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working with her. She was a beacon of professionalism, expertise and passion, and her loss will be deeply felt by the Executive and staff of CARICOM IMPACS and by extension across the Caribbean community.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Government of St. Lucia, her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold the values she so passionately championed.
Rest well Elma Gene and may you rest in eternal peace and rise in glory.
