Important Update: Use of web-based email addresses
07 July 2025
At the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS), we are continuously working to enhance the security of our systems and protect sensitive information. As part of our commitment to maintaining a robust and resilient security position, we are implementing significant upgrades to our communication infrastructure.
With this in mind, effective 31 July 2025, CARICOM IMPACS systems will no longer be able to communicate with web-based email addresses (e.g., Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail, etc.). This measure is crucial for strengthening our cyber security defenses as well as ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our communications.
To ensure uninterrupted communication with CARICOM IMPACS after 31 July 2025, please take the following action:
- Update your contact information with us to reflect an official organisational or governmental/institutional email address. If you currently communicate with CARICOM IMPACS using a web-based email, please provide an alternative, non-web-based email address that can be used for future correspondence.
We understand that this change may require adjustments, and we appreciate your co-operation in helping us bolster our collective security environments. We are confident that these enhancements will better protect our shared interests and foster a more secure communication environment.
Should you have any questions or require assistance in updating your contact information, please do not hesitate to contact us at secretariat@carimpacs.org
Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership.
