The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) participated in a two-day regional security meeting to support the United Kingdom’s (UK) Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) design of a UK-Caribbean Security and Justice Programme.

The meeting was held at CARICOM IMPACS’ headquarters in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 22-23 September 2025, and was attended by representatives from law enforcement agencies in Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica, as well as the Regional Security System (RSS), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), FCDO and the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the main security challenges facing the Caribbean Region and to develop Terms of Reference (ToR) to undertake an assessment of what the needs are, in order to design a suitable and relevant programme, which would facilitate learning and capacity building among relevant law enforcement agencies.
