Construction Manager - MAG Caribbean
Location: The successful candidate must be a citizen of a CARICOM Member State or the Dominican Republic and will be based within the region. Frequent travel across the Caribbean region is required for this role.
Term: Fixed Term till 31st March 2028 with possibility of renewal subject to performance and donor funding.
The starting salary for this position is $5,500 USD monthly inclusive of allowances.
About the role:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, management and technical oversight of assigned physical security and stockpile management programme activities relating to the rehabilitation and construction of storage areas across the Caribbean, in accordance with MAG global policies and WAM Construction SOPs.
About you:
- At least five (5) years’ experience of working in construction activities.
- Experience of managing projects, tender processes, third party contractors and ensuring quality delivery of work.
- Experience working within the Caribbean region
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience in Humanitarian safety (Desirable)
- Experience working within a NGO environment (Desirable)
- University degree or post-graduate qualification in construction or civil engineering or equivalent.
- Substantial knowledge of the development and evaluation of engineering designs, bills of quantities, and specifications.

About the Caribbean programme:
In the Caribbean region, MAG together with CARICOM IMPACS is building on various assessments undertaken in the region to provide targeted assistance to states with regard to weapons and ammunition management, policy and advocacy support and engagement with a wide range of other partners. This innovative programme focuses on safety, security and sustainability, ultimately helping to create the conditions for peace and sustainable development.

- Salary: Annual incremental increases
