CBP pays courtesy call to CARICOM IMPACS

Ms. Nico Twardy (centre), Acting Director, Immigration Advisory Program (IAP) within the United States (US) Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) International Field Office, met with Lt. Col. Michael Jones (right), Executive Director, CARICOM IMPACS, on 19 May 2025 in Barbados.
They discussed a number of issues including CARICOM IMPACS’ operations and ongoing partnerships with the CBP, as well as the continued strengthening of our relationship. The CBP team, which included Program Managers, Mr. Yassin Mohammed (left) and Mr. Erik Elander (not pictured) also took the opportunity to tour CARICOM IMPACS’ office in Barbados.
Ms. Twardy manages the IAP Division of foreign deployed CBP officers in 20 countries, who work with foreign counterparts across the globe to identify and interdict high-risk travelers who pose a threat to the global travel network.
